We have 4 outstanding young men in our small ward in Liberty, Texas that have been called to serve a mission. It will be fun to have our ward family follow their experiences through this blog. Elder Clegg left July 20,2011 for the Idaho, Pocatello mission, Elder Waddell left July 27, 2011 for the Alaska, Anchorage Spanish speaking mission, Elder Escobar left in August for the Massachusetts, Boston mission, and Elder Tellez left September 14, 2011 for the Mexico, Veracruz Spanish speaking mission. We are so very excited that these fine young men have chosen to serve the Lord.

Elder Tellez 1-28-13 email

Hello everybody, Life is good. We didn't baptize this week. But we have some people for this week. Nothing new or exciting has happened this week. Thank you for the updates on MoMo. Everyone is in my prayers. Thank you for the pictures. My health has been pretty good. Missionary work is amazing but it just drains you, haha. I'm just exhausted. It felt a little weird baptizing, haha, normally we get the members to baptize but this time the little boy asked me to baptize him. Have you sent a package or money recently? Are there any new things in Dayton or liberty, like stores and such? Elder Huamán is from Peru, something interesting, haha. Ahhhh, I have have just about 7 months left!! I miss the food alot when I leave. What happened with your plans to move mama? It is super hot here, haha, really really hot. Ok, time to fly. I love you all.

Elder Tellez 1-21-13 Email

Hello, how is everyone? So, there were some random changes this week: yesterday, President Lopez came to Martinez and took Elder Carmona with him and now Elder Carmona is the new assistant to the president; from yesterday up until tomorrow I am with Elder Peña and Elder Diaz (his companion was also taken to Xalapa because he is really sick); and tomorrow Elder Huamán will be my companion and Elder Peña will be with Elder Diaz until Peña ends his mission (next Tuesday). So, that will mean that I have had 6 companions in the same area. Prayer is sooooo useful in times like this. I'm hoping that I get transferred in three week or whenever, haha. We baptized Iris (the mom of Irene Isabel who was baptized a month ago) and Luis (the brother of Irene). Elder Carmona was supposed to baptize Iris but he left at 4 and the baptism was at 6. He found out he was leaving after church so he couldn´t say goodbye to anybody. We have a baptism for this week as well, Kevin (son of Rosalba and cousin of Iris). My health is good, but I have a killer headache which is probably because of the many things that have happened recently. Thank you for the updates on MoMo, I am praying for her. Thank you for the pictures as well. So, everything is swell here in Mexico. Time to go. I love you all.

Elder Tellez 1-14-13 email

Hello sweet family. How is everyone? I'm sorry, I honestly didn't take any pictures this week. My week was good. It is weird being in a trio. Elder Peña is cool. He is ending his mission in two weeks, haha. I am sooo glad that everything is under control with MoMo. I want a cat!! haha. We haven't baptized in a while but we have been seeing many miracles and we know that there are going to be many baptisms to end the month. Thank you for sending some of the comments that I had on my facebook. Santiago told me that he talked to you, that is cool. He is a cool guy, he helps us in the work at times. Ahhhhhh, things are going to be so different when I get back. Today I complete 16 months in the mission. 8 more months and I will be home. Ahhhhh I love it, my converts: Yosemir and Carlos are getting ready for the mission and we are going to baptize one of their brothers, Kevin, this Sunday. There is only one more family member left to get baptized and that is Eduardo (the older brother(25) of Yose, Carlos, and Kevin). Rosalba, the mom, was called as the visiting teaching coordinator and she is doing an awesome job at it. I love moments like this in the mission. Time to go. I love you all.

Elder Tellez First Email of the 2013 (1-07-13)

Hello family. How is everyone doing? I'm doing super well. First off it was good to see you all two weeks ago. You actually almost made me cry, but, no, haha. There are transfers this week, but my companion and I are staying. We have been together since October, haha. We will be in a trio, a missionary who has been a little disobedient will be with us until he ends his mission in February, Elder Peña. We haven't baptized for two weeks, ahhhhhh. The holidays are always hard. But we are getting back on track. Christmas and New Years were great. We ate on both of these days. It was normal stuff like chicken, turkey, tamales, hot chocolate, and stuff like that. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I the one that has people racing, the stake president is there running, he is the coolest ever, haha. It was a really fun time. We basically hiked the whole time. I am sooo grateful for scouts, haha. Ok, talk to ya next week. I love you all. Bye
