We have 4 outstanding young men in our small ward in Liberty, Texas that have been called to serve a mission. It will be fun to have our ward family follow their experiences through this blog. Elder Clegg left July 20,2011 for the Idaho, Pocatello mission, Elder Waddell left July 27, 2011 for the Alaska, Anchorage Spanish speaking mission, Elder Escobar left in August for the Massachusetts, Boston mission, and Elder Tellez left September 14, 2011 for the Mexico, Veracruz Spanish speaking mission. We are so very excited that these fine young men have chosen to serve the Lord.

Elder Waddell 6-25-12

Man that all sounds pretty cool. That's awesome that there are so many
Spanish people in the stake and you are all already getting
integrated. That's what's so good about youth conference, you're
getting taught in the moment you're feeling the spirit so it's easier
to recognize when you're feeling the spirit later. I'm doing well. This
week wasn't too eventful. Just a bunch of not being able to find
people at home that said they would be at home. Oh yeah before I
forget, my debit card is expiring this month.... so I'm not sure
what's supposed to be done about that since I’m in Alaska. You guys
can renew it right? I got my uke and the cd's thank you very much, ha
they work and the music is fine. Yeah I haven't used that card since I
was in Ketchikan. I told you I’ve been meaning to send it for a while.                                                           Do you like the cd's that were in the box? That was all done by

missionaries in this mission. Oh and did the girls like their
envelopes? haha if you listen to song 8 or 9 in the cd that says Elder
Calk, Stephens and Durfee you'll get where I got it from. haha ummm
let's see. So this Sunday we started church with 11 people in the
room including us. So that was exciting, but more people ended up
showing up so that was good. oh and next week Pres. Chavez and his
counselor aren't going to be here and the elders quorum pres might not
be here so the counselor in the elders quorum will probably preside
next week and we won't have a piano player. There's a big LDS scout
encampment up here this week and for a couple of the days we're going
to go and train the scouts on PMG Christ like attributes so that's
pretty exciting. Hopefully I'll see somebody from Ketchikan. We chose
to train on patience because that's what we think the Lord has been
training us on for the past few months, hope and patience. The hope
that all the promises he has made will be fulfilled and the patience
it takes to deserve those blessings. Every day we're faced with tons
of times when we have to be patient with people or situations or we
would start to lose hope, then faith, then we would be useless
missionaries. So hopefully training the scouts with this will help us
as well. Oh yesterday we found a member who we're pretty sure Elder
Samuelson didn't even know so that's a big step for us .But,
things are going all right. We're going to have to start working on
the fireside that we're going to have in the branch sometime next
month. Hopefully that'll be good.  I think that's about it
that's happening over here. I hope the summer continues to go well.
Love you guys. All is well in Zion.
